The ski resort

Montgenèvre is situated at an altitude of 1860 metres on the border pass that links France and Italy.
Established in 1907 during the first International Ski Competition, it is historically France's first ski resort.
Montgenèvre, which began life as a small village of alpine pastures, has remained faithful to the spirit of its origins.
Tourism has developed while preserving the sites and mountains that surround the village.

Today, Montgenèvre is one of the most avant-garde resorts in the world of winter sports with a diversified customer-offering for both its snow sports and après-ski activities.

The ski area

Montgenèvre comprises three different ski areas :

• The Grand Montgenèvre (90 km of pistes in France and in Italy)
• The Monts de la Lune (110 km of pistes in France and in Italy)
• The Via Lattea (400 km of pistes covering the Franco-Italian 'milky-way' ski area)

Après-ski à Montgenèvre 

• The Durancia spa and leisure centre opens its doors in December 2015. The wellness area will comprise a sauna, hammam, heat lamps and fragrance diffusers.
